Ambareen Siraj, an associate at work teacher of computer technology in addition to director of Tennessee Tech University’s Cybersecurity knowledge, Research & Outreach Center, was asked to participate in a meeting on establishing the K-12 computer science and technology training pipeline for the nationwide protection business.

Siraj is the leader on four nationwide Science Foundation funds concerning cybersecurity and it is the creator of nationwide Women in Cybersecurity meeting, an effort to hire, retain and advance feamales in the cybersecurity business.

Tennessee Tech’s cybersecurity center had been established in summertime 2015 so that you can incorporate university-wide existing activities and initiatives in cybersecurity. “Our center is exclusive in Tennessee by emphasizing the integration of training, research and outreach, ” Siraj stated. “At CEROC, our goal isn't just to produce security-conscious pupils to go into the processing staff, but in addition to generate a pipeline of cyber defenders and researchers by educating them with a regular cybersecurity curriculum that integrates original research performed by our faculty in this region.”
