An Albemarle County building organization is a living history.
Final December, R.E. Lee organizations, Inc. CEO Chris Lee had been killed in a car or truck crash on Interstate 64. Now their history at their family members' building company is residing on.
Following their demise, Lee’s partner, Arlene, overran the 77-year-old business that has been responsible for laying the first bricks on Charlottesville's Downtown Mall.
Arlene Lee is now certainly one of few female leaders within the construction business. Arlene says before getting president she had a peripheral part in the business, saying she worked mainly behind the scenes so that as a sounding board.
“once you marry into a family group business, it's part of everything. We worked as a team for several, several years and at this time i will be both halves of team, " Lee claimed. "Im truly thrilled that I am able to step into this role."
Lee states this lady strategic reasoning and analysis assistance operate the business. "i believe it's really a thrilling time and energy to be a woman inside construction business."
She states as a female leader she brings her nurturing nature and mama bear protectiveness towards the business. Within Lee's technique for helping the business heal after other losings, her 10-week-old puppy, Mable, makes rounds on the job every morning.
